Coaching format

For the first half of our weekly sessions, kids spend 10 minutes on each court (or station) working on a particular shot, playing a squash skill-related game, or working on their fitness.  The kids enjoy the fast-paced variety and get to work with a number of different coaches who each offer something a little different.

Game play format

The second half of the sessions consists of game play, usually round robin matches which provide information for our club ladder.  The children climb the ladder by winning more games! Game play format is often timed to make sure everyone gets all their games in.

Alternatively, gameplay consists of King of the Court.

Our coaches always make themselves available to be on hand to assist new players with scoring and refereeing duties during the game play session.

Up, up and away!

Juniors looking to take the next step up can get involved in playing tournaments or Junior pennants outside of our regular Thursday program. Various clubs around the state host tournaments each month, whilst WA Squash is increasing their junior pennant competition in 2021 providing more juniors the chance to compete for their club.

Mirrabooka fits into the North Metro zone so our talented juniors have the chance to represent the Northern Nicks team at the WA Zone Team Championships in the July school holidays.
